Symbiotic Relationship

28 01 2011

“interaction between two different organisms living in close physical association, typically to the advantage of both.”

When chatting with Trevor aka Sasquatch, he explains to me how Mark and I “have a symbiotic relationship” I asked him to expand on this and quote

“you feed off each other…while most others would find you two to be an annoyance, you use each others special talents to help the other one survive”

Now me being kind of slow sometimes… I told him to please speak “Paigeiam” so he follows up with this…

“i.e. an oxpecker and a rhino. The rhino needs the oxpecker to get all the bugs off them, and the oxpecker needs the rhino for safety and a place to live…but other animals would find the oxpecker to be annoying and the rhino to be dangerous”

and than his sends me this photo:

and continues  to tell me

“I find you annoying and Mark messy, but you two work great together! He needs you to keep his shit together, and you need him to keep you grounded.”

I will forever think of Mark as a Rhino and me as a Oxpecker…

Engaging Content

25 01 2011

We’re always wondering what social media content will stick with friends & fans… well I found it! Please use this very professional tweet post as an example of what will be GREAT engaging content.

Below are screen grabs of the engagement I got seconds/minutes after this tweet…and they kept coming :-) ((lmao))

Better Insights

25 01 2011

Over the last year we (social meida geeks) have been waiting for Mr. Zuckerberg and his team to build us some “real” analytics. Well I think they are moving forward on this project… I jumped on knoodle shops facebook tonight and  saw what I think might be the NEW insights….

1- Impressions BUT they added “from users”… AWESOME! I want to know how this is going to work

2- Clicks on a shared link… this is going to be helpful because now we can just share a link instead of going to an outsource site like bit.ly.com

3 & 4-Comments & Likes are gathered all at the top… this makes it easier to just grab a total number instead of it listing some and adding the ones under it

5- CTR Percentage… sweetness.com!

6- This one is the one I am MOST excited about… Engagement Percentage! Not sure how they’re going to measure it but I’m excited to learn how AND to start using this stat for my client recap meetings

Tell me your thoughts and if your company can see these new insights…
