Funny thing about life…

7 12 2009

So yes, I know its been awhile since I have updated this blog of mine.

My life has been so up and down in the last 6 months and kind of blur, where does the time go? I am 25, still part-time at the Phx Suns and living with Mark… 4 months ago (that I can remember) I was not working over 100 hours every two weeks and was home by 530 every night and I hated it, I wanted to be working longer hours so I wouldn’t be sitting at home alone waiting for Mark to get home. 6months ago…. yea, I can not remember anything that far ago, or maybe I don’t want to. Its funny how we pick and choose what we want to remember in our life’s.

This Christmas will be my third with Mark, Lucy and Lexi.. we put up our tree and its beautiful. I feel as I get older nothing in my life is the same, Christmas, sleeping, my likes, things I hate…etc. Christmas when I was kid was the most amazing, happy time of my life & families life. Now, I feel like its a chore… or maybe I just feel this way because as I have gotten older my perfectionist side is getting worse & worse. Isn’t it funny how when we get older things that use to be fun feel more like a pain in the ass or a chore.

Funny thing about my life right now is how one morning I wake up pumped and ready to take on the world and other mornings I wake up like is this really my path?

Funny thing about everyone’s life is how we all live in the now moment. We never want to stop and plan, we just want to get it done and get it done now.

What is you “funny thing about life”?

I think the funny thing about life is that you meet great people at the most unexpected times! But, if you are not paying attention you will miss or dismiss it. When I first joined Twitter I had no idea what it was about or what to do with it – so I just observed. Then I saw some great basketball tweets by this person @paigeiam (it was NBA playoff time) and I responded to her. She replied back (most didn’t) and we became friends. Since then she has introduced me to a great group of people that love basketball (not casually, but passionately) (and not “normal girls”) as much as I do and we have become a cool nasketball Twitter family! I enjoy getting on Twitter now, look forward to seeing my friends and have even been able to promote my blog and I post quotes all the time. I am a collector of motivational quotes…they keep me focused!!

ALL because I recognized what a cool person @paigeiam is. Thanks, Paige, I am glad I was paying attention!!

You keep following your path as you see it now. Everyone has to make “mid-course corrections”, that is the way life is. But, I see you as a determined person who is focused and driven and you will reach your goals as long as you plan and persevere!!

Much <3 Coach O

Funny thing…I was just thinking along these lines myself! Great minds think alike! Anyway, I have decided to celebrate The 12 Days of Christmas Magic, to help recapture that magical feeling that Christmas used to bring…

The funny thing…you think that you are the only one that could possibly be feeling this way, and then you realize you are not alone!
